Enjoying Summer

I think we, Canadian, enjoy summer most during a year. Students from kindergarten to grade 8 finish their school in the last week of June. High School student may finish their school in the middle of June.

The new semesters start on the next day of Labour Day holiday, which is the first Monday in September. That means they have more than 2 months holidays!

People who work at offices take their holidays by turns. I hear that some factories will close in the last week of July and the first week of August, and everybody takes two weeks holidays at the same time.

City of Missisauga have 25th anniversary in 1999 since established as a city. It is one of the booming cities in Canada with population of a half million. The town (Port Credit) began populated in the Credit River mouth area, I hear.

One summer day, I went there and witnessed enjoying people with various boating.

This image is a bridge over Credit River, and like a lighthouse is a symbol of this township.

There is a rowing club at about 200m up stream. I saw many boats from a little kayak to a long, long regatta in a storage house. I think they teach rowing.

If you see red life jackets, they are probably beginners. A person at the shore is fishing.

Going out for fishing heading to Lake Ontario, and coming home from the lake. Look at these big nets!

I luckyly caught a passing by train.

This is a commuter train in the outskirts of metro Toronto. My husband and I are wishing to ride this kind of train one day.
