May in Ontario

After Magnolia's pedals fall down, we can see a lot of trees with flower in almost everywhere, mostly alongside of streets in residential area.

This pink flower is 'Flowering Crab Apple', and you can see fading 'Flowering Almond' beside fresher pink tree.

I saw a tree with fully bloomed white flower.

Usually, people plant fruit trees at their back yards, and trees at front are for their appreciation.

I think it is called "Japanese Iris"which is shorter and blooming earlier than normal Iris.

Japanese Iris bloom in early May and ordinary Iris bloom later in May.

We, Canadian, have a holiday called 'Victoria Day' on Monday around 20th in May every year.  It was May 24th in 1999.

This is a milestone for people to plant flowers, shrubs, vegetable plants, in their gardens, and buy hanging plant for outside purpose.  Many supermarkets make temporary space on outside to sell plants, soil, fertilizer, etc.

Spring has given us a lot of beauty and comfort after a long cold winter in Canada.
