Crete - クレタ島 ２-２
The third day in Crete, we visited Knossos Palace Ruin, and then visited the Archaeological Museum in Heraklion. They were very interesting to us, and I am intending to make HP of 'Knossos' separately. Incidentally, we went there using public transportation. So, we rode city bus again, and visited the harbour area in Heraklion on the 4th day in Crete. From city centre to this area is in a walking distance.
私たちは第３日目はクノソス宮殿の遺跡と、イラクリオン市内にある考古博物館を訪れました。けれどもそのホームページのセクションは別にするつもりです。 私達は前もって教えて貰い、バスの乗り継ぎで両所を訪れました。 そんな事で自信も出来たので、第４日目もまたバスでイラクリオンの港近辺にやって来たのです。 市内センターから十分歩ける距離です。
You can see fishing boats on the right hand side, and sailing boats about the middle of this picture. If you walk up the street between them (28th avenue), you will reach the city hall, AgiosTitos (church), and the market. The port for cruise ships and ferryboats are at far left of this image.
この画像の右手に漁船がみられ、真ん中あたりにセーリングボートが見られますが、その両方の中程辺りの,岸から道を上がって行くと、市役所、教会やマーケットなどがあります。 クルージングの船舶や、フェリーボートの港は、ずっと左手になります。
The right-hand side of the bank is open sea.
この堤防の右側は外海です。
This is a Venetian Fort, at the end of the jetty. It was reconstructed in 1523 and 1540. Since then, it was restored greatly, but both its exterior and interior are interesting to see.
これはヴェネチアン城砦と呼ばれています。 もともとあった城砦の上に１５２０年と１５４０年に改築されたと言う事です。 それ以後も随分修復されているようですが、外、内とも昔の面影をとどめ、興味深い城砦です。
There are a lot of small rooms, staircases and sky windows in some places.
中にはかなりの数の小部屋、大小の階段や天窓もありました。
The top of the fort is surrounded by this kind of wall. A great view.
この城砦の天辺は、このような壁で囲まれていました。 眺望も満点です。
