Fira is the capital of Santorini. spreading atop caldera. At first, it
was difficult to find our hotel room, because it was like a maze. Back
streets and stores are also confusing.. There are 3 ways to reach the town
from the old port; cable-car, donkey/mule ride, or on foot. Donkey/mule
are trained well and with a grip on the saddle for safety, yet we heard
a lot of scream by first-time riders.
Foraは一番大きい町ですが、何しろ崖の上の、狭い土地に広がっているので、裏道は迷路のように曲がりくねっています。 ４つ星ホテルのルームでも例外でなく、最初は迷いました。 オールドポートから町へ上がるには、ケーブル利用か、ロバ/ラバに乗るか、歩くかで、車は利用できません。 ロバ/ラバは良く躾されていて、サドルの上には安全性のため手で握れる取っ手までついているのですが、やはり怖がりやさんなのでしょう、悲鳴も聞きました。
